Blood Assurance Program
RMC Blood Assurance Program
The Regional Medical Center Blood Assurance Program exists to meet the transfusion needs of RMC patients. Since blood is a vital resource that requires constant replenishment, the Blood Assurance Program depends on the active participation of community members to meet the needs of patients. There is no substitute for human blood; it cannot be manufactured in a lab.
Blood transfusions MUST come from other people.
The Blood Assurance Program has a bloodmobile and donor room located at the hospital. All blood collected stays in the community.
The Blood Assurance Program Donor Center is open Monday through Friday, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. To set up an appointment, to ask about hosting a blood drive, or for more information, please call 803-395-2419 (toll free in S.C. 800-476-3377, ext. 2419).
