RMC Welcomes Dr. Tara Hook to RMC Primary Care - North


  North native and Clafin University alumna Tara Hook, MD, has joined RMC Primary Care – North, and is accepting new patients.
Tara Hook, MD, a family medicine provider, has joined the Regional Medical Center’s Primary Care location in North. Dr. Hook, a native of North, is now accepting new patients.

“We are excited to welcome Dr. Hook back to South Carolina. She will be a valuable asset to residents of North and surrounding areas,” said RMC Interim President & CEO Bert Whitaker. “Having a primary care physician who you can trust is essential to ensuring long-term health.”

Prior to joining RMC Primary Care – North, Dr. Hook completed an internship and residency in the Department of Family Medicine at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. Dr. Hook also earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Claflin College in Orangeburg.

Dr. Hook joins RMC Primary Care – North alongside Brenda K. Wilhite, APRN. RMC Primary Care – North is located at 4631 Savannah Highway in North. Appointments can be made by calling 803-395-3038.
